Adventures by Disney (ABD) provides group guided family vacations to various domestic and international destinations. The company is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts's New Vacation Operations division. Disney Parks is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.

History
Adventures by Disney's first started operating in 2005 and featured just two US destinations. Adventures by Disney Travel Services, Inc. was incorporated on December 19, 2005.
By 2015, Adventures by Disney expanded its destinations to span six continents. Also in 2015, Adventures by Disney introduced several shorter four- and five-day "Long Weekend" itineraries in New York City, Nashville, San Francisco and Wyoming.
On April 13, 2015, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced that Adventures by Disney will have river cruise vacations. AmaWaterways will host the river cruises while Adventures by Disney will guide and storytell with the group. Danube River cruises are expected to start in 2016. AmaWaterways and the company added a Rhine River cruise in 2017 on the new AMAKristina ship with six trips.
In 2016, Disney added a seven-day Central Florida tour that includes three days at Disney World with some backstage access, a day at Kennedy Space Center, a night at Disney Springs and additional days with kayak, boating and a BBQ.
In 2018, Disney will be adding six departures to their river cruises that take travelers to the villages that inspired Beauty and the Beast, a new 8 Day/7 Night vacation to Iceland where guest will experience the history and culture of Iceland.

Format
On an Adventures by Disney vacation, guests are taken on expeditions that often feature activities designed for families, kids (or 'Junior Adventurers'), as well as multigenerational-families where during their trip a professional photographer will take pictures of families during the vacation at no extra charge. Two Disney-trained adventure guides (cast members) look after a group of no more than 44 guests on an adventure, and are described as being 'part concierge, guide and storyteller'.
Disney now also offers a Guaranteed Departure Program which guarantees a trip will never be cancelled 70 days before departure. Guest can choose from specific dates from each trip that is apart of the Guaranteed Departure Program.

River Cruises
River cruising allows guests a unique experience to sail down rivers in famous cities and countrysides.
Disney Cruises
While on a Disney Cruise guests have the opportunity to enjoy VIP experiences exclusive to Disney Cruises, like going to Disney private island Castaway Cay or have opportunities to see the most popular sites on the world at each stop on a trip.
North American Adventures
Guests have the chance to experience the most historic and popular sites that North America has to offer. Whether it be seeing a broadway show in New York City, or seeing Americas National Parks, guests have very different options when choosing a North American adventure, and also different ways to explore. Guests can explore on foot, while biking, canoeing, or even in the tour bus.
Central and South American Adventures
On adventures in Central and South America guests will see and learn about ancient ruins in Peru, see species that only live in the Galapagos Islands, and even zip-line through Costa Rica. While experiencing all these opportunities guests also learn about the cultures, and people that live within these countries.
European Adventures
While on a European adventures guests have the chance to see some of the places that inspired Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast, and also scenes where The Sound of Music was shot. On adult exclusive trips they will get the chance to go to Germany during the famous Oktoberfest. Families can also go on a river cruise and see some of the most famous sites Europe has to offer. Or if they prefer to stay on land, families will get to see old castles from medieval times, the coats of Italy, or see the hidden gems of Paris and London.
Asia, Africa, and The Pacific Adventures
On these adventures guest will get to stay on a Game Reserve in Africa and see animals like elephants and lions in their natural habitat. In Australia guests will get to see the Great Barrier Reed and explore the city of Sydney. Lastly, on an Asian adventure guests get to see all the ancient and modern cities in China, as well as have the chance to go t Disneyland Hong Kong.
